Shipping policy

 

  At House of Kindred, every creation is dispatched directly from the individual artisans atelier in Denmark. We take meticulous care to ensure your selection is prepared, packaged, and delivered with the utmost precision and security.

GLOBAL DELIVERY AND ADDRESS BASED CALCULATION

  We ship to most destinations worldwide. Final shipping availability, exact carrier options, and precise delivery fees are calculated dynamically during checkout once your specific delivery address is provided.

Regional and Category Restrictions:

  Due to international trade regulations, customs clearance laws, and carrier constraints, we cannot guarantee delivery to all global territories. Please note the following - but not limited to - product specific considerations:

  • High Value Fine Jewellery: Requires specialized, fully insured courier handling and may be subject to declared value limits depending on the destination country.
  • Botanical Formulations: Subject to international liquid and cosmetic import regulations. Certain territories prohibit or restrict the entry of specific natural botanical ingredients.
  • Sanctions and Embargoes: In compliance with Danish, EU, and international law, we do not fulfill shipments to regions under active trade sanctions or postal suspensions.

  If an order cannot be fulfilled or cleared for shipment due to local import restrictions or carrier constraints after an address has been entered, our Concierge will notify you immediately and issue a full reimbursement.

PROCESSING AND FULFILLMENT TIMELINES

  Because our pieces stem from independent ateliers, processing times vary based on the nature of your order:

  • In-Stock Creations: 1 to 3 business days handling time.
  • Made-to-Order and Bespoke Pieces: As stated on the individual product page, typically 2 to 8 weeks depending on the maker and piece.
Operating Hours:

  Orders are prepared Monday through Friday, excluding Danish public holidays. Handling time is not inclusive of transit time.

Multi-Brand and Mixed Orders:

  If your purchase combines in-stock items with made-to-order creations, or spans multiple houses, your pieces may ship together once all items are ready, or arrive in separate, dedicated shipments directly from individual ateliers to ensure optimal care.

ESTIMATED TRANSIT TIMES

  Once dispatched from its respective atelier, estimated delivery times are as follows:

  • Denmark: 1 to 2 business days
  • Nordics (Norway, Iceland, Sweden, Finland): 2 to 4 business days
  • Europe, UK, and Switzerland: 3 to 5 business days
  • North America (USA, Canada, Mexico): 2 to 7 business days
  • Rest of the World: 7 to 10 business days

Please note:

  •   Danish Deliveries: Standard Danish parcels under 10kg may be routed to the nearest designated parcel shop (pakkeshop).
  •   Transit Delays: Delivery windows are estimates provided by our logistics partners. House of Kindred cannot be held responsible for unexpected delays caused by courier operations, severe weather, or customs clearance procedures.

TRACKED DISPATCHES

  To ensure complete transparency, all shipments are sent via fully trackable courier services. As soon as a parcel departs its originating atelier, you will receive an automated email notification containing your dedicated tracking link.

DUTIES, TAXES AND INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS

  All international shipments depart from Denmark on Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) terms unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout.

  • European Union: Orders delivered within the EU include appropriate country-specific VAT at checkout in accordance with EU tax regulations.
  • Outside the EU (including UK, Switzerland, Norway, USA): Orders shipped to destinations outside the EU are exempt from Danish VAT. Prices at checkout will be adjusted automatically to exclude Danish VAT.
  • Recipient Responsibility: Your destination country may levy its own local VAT, import duties, customs tariffs, and handling fees upon arrival. These charges are determined by local customs authorities and remain the sole responsibility of the recipient. House of Kindred and our independent makers are not liable for transit delays caused by customs clearance.

TRANSIT INSURANCE AND DAMAGED DELIVERIES

  Every shipment is fully insured during transit until it reaches your specified delivery address.

  Should your package arrive with visible exterior damage or tampering:

  1. Please document the unopened parcel with clear photographs immediately upon receipt.
  2. Contact our Quality and Claims team at claims@houseofkindred.co within 48 hours of delivery.
  3. Retain all original packaging materials while our Concierge liaises with the carrier and maker to arrange an immediate replacement or repair.
